Indigenous Perspectives Project Stream
A project that honours Indigenous voices and perspectives.
By exploring Indigenous perspectives youth can understand and learn about the deep history of Indigenous traditions and their importance to living in a sustainable way with nature. Please ensure that your proposal demonstrates your intention and ability to honour these perspectives authentically by consulting with and including Indigenous Peoples.
Examples of possible projects:
- Cultural exchange between Indigenous and non-Indigenous youth on topics relevant to sustainability
- Youth-Organised community event that includes Elder teachings on local Indigenous plants/animals
- Using Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) and practices to restore local habitat
